Pnyx is a consultancy firm dedicated to promoting democracy and human rights. It was founded by Pär Sköld in 1996 and is based in Göteborg, Sweden. Pnyx undertakes assignments in the field of democracy and human rights.
As can be seen in the Curriculum Vitae, many assignments are awarded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). Assignments are often carried out in cooperation with other consultancy firms, such as SIPU International and SPM Consultants.

All observers are given a two-day training course before deployment.
This framework contract was won by Pnyx in a tender process in 2011.
The Sida contract is valid until 2013. Pnyx has provided a number of
training courses on an ad-hoc basis since 2005.
